Zar Lo Yavin Zot
When the sirens started we were in the car
An hour before, Neri was at the door
-where you going ?
-practice … Basket ball
-you taking the bus ?
-sure
-mmm… I ll drive you
I m always thinking.. what if a missile attack happened and he s in the bus ??
On the other hand he's 13… He's going to practice 4 time a week, going out with friends, to school… I can't be there all the time
On the other, other hand… He is 13, and… missiles, drones ?!
On the way, we picked up Yona ,his friend from practice and we continued north .
-Dad , why don't you take the highway ?
-Too much traffic
But that wasn't the reason… I prefered to drive inside the city, so if an attack happened… I won't be on the highway totally out in the open
That's the kind of thinking I m doing, all the time.
Where to run if it's coming from the north? from the south ?what to do if you on the highway ?
We were almost there when the attack started
-dad?! Sirens… SIRENS!!
-ok… No panic!
I kept driving for a hundred meter more stopped the car on the side of the road
-OUT !
I turned off the ignition, pulled the hand breaks, took my phone.
Outside people were running in all directions
I thought to myself… we got 1 minute, maybe 1 and half, We got time
I spotted a building on the left
-this way !
We ran up, passed a fence.
other people with us… an old religious couple, 2, 3 women.
One with no shoes on
On the right an apartment door's opens
– come in quick!
We rushed in
A man shout from inside the house
-Come in, Come in… There's an emergency room here
He was already there with 3 little kids sitting on a mattress on the floor
We stood there for a moment … listening to the sirens, waiting for the explosions to come .
Neri and Yona had their basketball uniform on. Red and white (hapoel)
Sharon (the owner. he told me his name at the end) broke the silence
– You 2 boys should be glad I let you in … I normally never have anyone with those uniform on in my house . I m yellow and blue.. Maccabi

and he laughed
We all laughed out loud
– water anyone??
he opened a cabinet , took out some cookies, chips, water …
The women on my left said
-This is so surreal, we need to take a picture so I can told that story… Look at us, 2 minutes ago we were just some strangers , and now we're in your house
The old religious man said
-Baruch Ashem( thanks God) you were there!
Sharon answered
-Zar Lo Yavin Zot : a stranger wouldn't understand the reality we live in
I took a picture, we exchange numbers and names and ten minutes later we were out
The women looks at her feet
– I just now realized that I left my shoes in the car
One year and 7 days since 7 oct …
And it's like that every day
Wherever you are. Beirut, Gaza , Haifa, TelAviv, Ramallah, Kiriat Shemona, Jerusalem… I wish you Peace
and hope for this to stop soon
And thank you Sharon (the man with the white shirt and little kids) for opening your door
